Privacy Policy
Short version: GovScout Pro collects the information needed to create your account, manage billing, answer support requests, deliver alerts, and follow up on lead forms. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not receive your full card or bank details.
1. Who We Are
GovScout Pro is operated by Harriman Solution Group, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) based in Reno, Nevada. CAGE Code: 9YZ59. Contact: sharriman2002@gmail.com.
2. What We Collect
Subscription and billing
When you subscribe to a paid GovScout plan, Stripe or PayPal processes your payment. We store your account email, selected plan, subscription status, customer ID, subscription ID, and related billing metadata needed to manage access, invoices, cancellations, and support. We do not receive or store your full credit card, debit card, or bank account details.
Lead forms and fit checks
If you submit a lead form, fit check, pricing inquiry, add-on service request, or support request, we may collect your name, email address, company name, phone number if provided, business type, certification status, plan interest, add-on interest, message details, and other information you choose to send.
Alert subscriptions
If you sign up for contract alerts at govscout.pro/alerts, we store the following in a secure, access-controlled database:
- Your name (optional)
- Your email address
- Your keywords, NAICS codes, and certification preferences
- Your Telegram Chat ID (optional, if you want Telegram alerts)
- Your alert frequency preference (daily or weekly)
- A secure unsubscribe token tied to your email
This data is used to run your automated contract scans, deliver alerts, manage preferences, and provide support. We do not sell or rent it.
What we do NOT collect
- AI API keys — Your OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, or Gemini key is stored only in your browser's localStorage. It is never transmitted to GovScout Pro's servers.
- SAM.gov API key — Same as above. Stays in your browser.
- Uploaded documents — When you upload a solicitation or capability statement, your browser sends it directly to your chosen AI provider. GovScout Pro's servers never see, receive, or store your documents.
- Business profile data — Your Marcus profile may be stored in your browser and may also be submitted to us when you choose to use account, alert, fit-check, or support features.
- Chat history — Your conversations with Marcus are stored in your browser only.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To confirm your subscription and grant app access
- To run daily and weekly SAM.gov contract scans on your behalf (alert subscribers only)
- To deliver contract alert emails, Telegram messages, and other notification channels you choose
- To respond to support requests
- To send invoices, receipts, renewal reminders, cancellation notices, and account emails
- To follow up on fit checks, lead forms, demos, and optional add-on services
- To protect the site, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical problems
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We disclose information only to service providers needed to run GovScout Pro, process payments, send email, deliver alerts, provide AI-assisted features, operate infrastructure, and comply with legal obligations. These providers process information under their own privacy policies and security practices.
- Stripe — Subscription billing, invoices, receipts, customer portal, and payment processing. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- PayPal — Optional or legacy subscription billing. Governed by PayPal's Privacy Policy.
- Netlify — Hosting and serverless functions. Governed by Netlify's Privacy Policy.
- Resend — Email delivery for contract alert notifications.
- Telegram — Optional push alerts via the GovScoutProAlertsBot. Governed by Telegram's Privacy Policy.
- SAM.gov — Federal contract data source. Public data only, no PII shared.
- Your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Google Gemini) — When you use Marcus, your browser sends queries directly to your provider. That provider's privacy policy governs how they handle those requests.
5. Data Retention
Account and billing records are retained while your account is active and as long as needed for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, accounting, and support purposes. Alert subscriber records are retained until you unsubscribe. Lead form, fit-check, and support records are retained as long as needed to respond to you and operate the business.
To remove your data, click the unsubscribe link in any alert email or contact us at sharriman2002@gmail.com. We will delete eligible records within 5 business days, except information we are required to keep for legal, tax, security, or accounting reasons.
Browser-stored data (API keys, profile, chat history) is deleted when you clear your browser's localStorage or use the app's built-in clear function.
6. Security
GovScout Pro uses HTTPS, access-controlled databases, environment variables for secrets, limited internal access, server-side tokens, and reputable payment and infrastructure providers. Full card and bank details are handled by Stripe or PayPal, not stored by GovScout Pro.
No internet service is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect the information we collect.

7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold. Contact us at sharriman2002@gmail.com. We respond within 5 business days.
8. Children
GovScout Pro is a business tool for federal contractors. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and notify active alert subscribers by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
